Caribbean Rum Punch

A refreshingly easy-to-make Caribbean rum punch recipe. A citrusy combination of juices and rum, this rum punch cocktail recipe is a classic drink that is the perfect libation to make.

Ingredients
  

For simple syrup
  • cups light or dark brown sugar
  • cups water
For punch
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • ½ cup pineapple juice or orange juice
  • 2 cups sugar syrup
  • 4 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • 4 cups rum
  • Grated nutmeg

Method
 

To make simple syrup
  1. Add water and sugar to a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil.
  2. Stir till sugar is dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Cover and let cool.
To make punch
  1. Combine juices, simple syrup, rum, and Angostura bitters.
  2. Add in bitters and nutmeg and let sit for a little.
  3. Serve over ice and garnish with cherries and fruit circles.
