Air Fryer Whole Fish

This air fryer whole fish recipe brings bold Caribbean flavors to your table. Stuffed with herbs, ochro, and aromatics, it's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—perfect for any seafood lover!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 whole fish snapper cleaned and scaled (approximately 8 oz) Make sure if can fit into your air fryer tray
  • 1 lime
  • 2 okras cut up
  • 1/2 cup sweet corn
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 1/2 cup cubed carrots
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Soak fish in juice from lime for 30 minutes.
  2. Wash the fish off and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Put three slits on each side of the fish.
  4. Mix salt and black pepper then season fish with the mix. Make sure to season both sides of the fish and the cavity.
  5. Take some of the butter and spread it over the fish to help keep the seasoning on.
  6. Mix the corn, thyme, ochro, and carrots.
  7. Place seasoned fish on a piece of foil, with enough foil to wrap the fish.
  8. Stuff the fish cavity with the filling then place any leftover filling on top of the fish.
  9. Add dollops of the remaining butter over the filling then wrap close.
  10. Bake for 30 - 35 mins at 370 degrees or until fish flakes. (Time can vary based on the air fryer. Check your manufacturer's instructions for preheating.)
